Brianna Shoemake enters her first season with the Chattanooga softball program as an Assistant Coach in 2020. A 2013 graduate of Carson-Newman, Shoemake will look to add valuable expertise and leadership to UTC’s catching and pitching department.
Shoemake started over 200 games for the Eagles from 2010-2013 and was named a Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division II All-American in 2011. She batted north of .270 for her career with 19 homeruns and 160 RBI while throwing out 56-of-124 runners who tried to steal with her behind the plate.
“We’re happy to add Brianna to our program. She brings vast experience to us being a Division II All-American catcher and a great hitter at Carson-Newman," said head coach Frank Reed.
“We look forward to her contributing in numerous areas including working with our catchers, outfielders and some additional work with our pitchers."
Shoemake resides in Chattanooga, Tenn., and carries in-depth experience towards teaching and coaching at the youth and collegiate levels.
