Greg Larnerd is in his first year as a volunteer assistant coach on the Chattanooga coaching staff. His coaching journey began in 2013 within the select baseball world, where he has since accumulated 11 years of experience coaching teams and providing instruction to players.
In addition to his role with the Chattanooga coaching staff, Larnerd holds the position of Director of Baseball Operations for the Scenic City Rangers select baseball organization. Moreover, he serves as the head coach of the 12U Scenic City Rangers-Green Team, contributing to the development of young talents in the Chattanooga area.
During his college baseball career, he played four years at Division III, SUNY Plattsburgh in upstate New York as a 1st and 3rd baseman.
Before venturing into softball coaching, Larnerd showcased his passion for sports as the host of a local sports talk radio show named 'The Word With G.' This show aired for three years during the midday on ESPN Chattanooga. Larnerd's multifaceted experience in coaching and sports media reflects his deep commitment to the athletic community and the development of players at various levels.
