Bergren, a 2018 graduate and three-year player at Chattanooga, returns to the court after four years away from Maclellan Gymnasium. Recently, Bergren served as the head coach for the A5 Chattanooga Girls' AAU Volleyball Program and was on the staff for two years.
Bergren was a setter from 2015-17 at Chattanooga and was a part of the 2015 SoCon Regular Season Championship team. In her senior year, she recorded 20 or more assists in five matches and 30+ in six. She registered double-digit assists in 36 of the final 41 matches of her collegiate career.
As a student-athlete at UTC, Bergen served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) for four years and was the president in her final year. She was also a leader and member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Bergen graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education.Â
Bergren currently resides in Chattanooga, Tenn., with her spouse Jacob Hooker.
