Penn State '90
Michelle Jaworski enters her first season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Chattanooga volleyball program in the Fall of 2022. Jaworski works primarily with the setters after a long successful playing career at that position.
Jaworski joins college roommate Julie Torbett's staff with a long history of volleyball success. A two-time All-American, she was the first in a long line of elite setters to come out of the Penn State women's volleyball program. The 1990 graduate is still Penn State's all-time leader in career assists with 6,596 and holds three of the top-four single season totals in school history.
She was the 1990 Atlantic 10 Player of the Year, the 1989 A-10 Tournament MVP, and a four-time all-conference selection. Jaworski was a member of the USA National Team in 1990 and 1991 and played professionally with the Minnesota Monarchs.
She began her coaching career as a graduate assistant at the University of Kentucky. From there she assisted Coach Torbett on her stops at UNC Asheville, Winthrop, East Carolina, and IUP.
