  • Title
    Assistant Coach
Sydney Hall became the newest addition to the Chattanooga indoor volleyball staff prior to the team's 2023 season, joining the staff as a student assistant coach.

A former player for UTC, Hall completed her final year of eligibility in 2022 competing primarily as a middle blocker for the Mocs squad under Coach Torbett. After appearing in a total of 23 matches and making 13 starts for the Mocs, Hall's senior season concluded with her leading the team in total blocks with 75.0 on the year.

Hall also led the Mocs in solo blocks (20) as well as earning a 0.96 blocks per set average, a stat that she ranked fifth in the Southern Conference in. She also finished her year tallying a total of 115 kills.

Hall transferred into the 2022 Mocs team having spent her previous four seasons at East Carolina, where for three seasons she played under Coach Torbett from 2017-19 followed by one season under current ECU head coach Adler Augustin.

While at East Carolina, Hall proved a dominant middle blocker for the Pirates, leading the team in solo blocks in every season she played in. Hall also nearly set the ECU single-match record for total blocks, recording nine in a 2018 match against Memphis just one shy of tying the program record of 10.

A native of Torrance, California, Hall attended Bishop Montgomery High School prior to her commitment to East Carolina.
