-    Continued rehab from freshman season and enters 2011 fully healthy.

-    Appeared on the Dean’s List in the fall and spring.

-    Sustaining a knee injury during practice.

Franklin High School
-    Four-year volleyball letter winner for Franklin High School and played under four different coaches - Kim Miller, Jeff Frasier, Maggie Tucker and Jay Goldstein.
-    Two-time All-District Tournament honors (2007, 2008).
-    Took MVP honors at the Franklin Invitational (2009).
-    Named team’s Most Improved Player (2006).
-    Graduated in the top 20 of her class and was the top student in environmental science.
-    Earned Principal List honors all four years.
-    Played for Impact Volleyball Club in Nashville, Tenn. during the offseason.

-    Julie was born in Minneapolis, Minn., on Feb. 26, 1991.
-    Daughter of Vicki and Vicent Barnes.
-    Sisters: Stephanie (Vanderbilt) and Courtney (UTC grad student).
-    Brother: Jeff was an all-conference basketball performer at Milligan College.
-    Majoring in Environmental Science.
