The men's athletic programs captured the Commissioner's Cup, the award for the best all-around men's sports program in the Southern Conference, for the first time in school history.
 
The women's basketball team won its sixth straight Southern Conference regular season Championship.
 
The men's basketball team won the Southern Conference Tournament title and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1997.
 
Senior forward Mindaugas Katelynas was selected to both the Coaches' and Media's All-Southern Conference Teams and won the National College Slam Dunk Championship.
 
The wrestling team won the Southern Conference regular season and tournament titles and sent five individuals to the NCAA Championships.
 
Jon Sioredas and Michael Keefe earned All-America honors, and Sioredas was voted the SoCon Wrestler of the Year.
 
The team placed 21^st at the NCAAs, the second-highest finish in school history.
 
The men's and women's cross country teams each claimed Southern Conference titles.  Steven Kocsis and Shannon Wommack were the male and female individual SoCon winners and Runners of the Year.
 
The women's team placed third at the NCAA Regionals, and the men ran to a fifth-place finish.
 
Shannon Wommack and Kathleen Turchin each earned All-America status at the NCAA Cross Country championship meet.
 
The men's tennis team advanced to the Southern Conference Tournament finals for the first time since 2000.
 
Shannon Wommack earned her third All-America honor with a fifth-place showing in the 3,000-meter Steeplechase at the NCAA Outdoor Track Championships.
 
Wommack also earned Academic All-America recognition.
