The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga wrestling team scored two dominating wins in Maclellan Gym today.  The Mocs won all 20 matches in a 47-0 win against Gardner-Webb and a 40-0 win over Anderson.

Today's wins were the first two for first-year head coach Heath Eslinger.  Chattanooga improved to 2-2 on the season while GWU falls to 0-1 and Anderson moves to 1-2.

The Mocs started the day with four pins against Gardner-Webb.  Sophomore Demetrius Johnson scored a pin in the opening match against Marc Rocha at 125.  Seniors Cody Cleveland (141) and Joey Knox (157) and sophomore Jason McCroskey (184) also scored pins in the blowout win.

The second match was more of the same, beginning with Cleveland scoring his second pin of the day against Mel LaVergene at 141.  Freshmen Josh Condon (165) and Niko Brown (197) also scored pins in the win.

The only contested match of the day was between Johnson and Anderson's DeQuan Warner at 125.  Warner took a 5-2 lead with two takedowns and an escape in the first three minutes. Johnson evened the match in the second period at 5-5 with an escape and a takedown of his own.  Both wrestlers fought hard in the third period, but Johnson took the match with a takedown midway through the final frame.

The Mocs head to Mt. Pleasant, Mich., tonight and will face No. 13 Central Michigan on Sunday.  Match time against the Chippewas is set for 2:00 p.m. (E.S.T.).
