Jones Reaches Wrestleback Quarters at U23 Nationals

Landon “Bones” Jones wrestled his way to the consolation quarterfinals leading the Chattanooga Mocs contingent at the 2026 U23 Freestyle Nationals.

Overview
Landon "Bones" Jones is alive and well at the 2026 U23 Freestyle Nationals in Geneva, Ohio. The Chattanooga Mocs rising sophomore is in the consolation quarterfinals at 86 kg at the Spire Academy.
 
Jones began his day with a bye in the round of 128 before a convincing tech fall win over Joshua Jorgge, 12-1 in just 1:38. That was followed by a tech fall over Devin Kendrex (15-2, 2:34) and round of 16 victory over Chase Kranitz by decision, 7-0. He dropped his quarterfinal by tech, 10-0 in 5:11, to Brock Fettig.
 
His 24 points scored to this point is second only to Tavian Camper among the 17 Mocs competing this weekend. Camper rung up 25 at 74 kg before bowing out in the consolation sub round of 16 snapping a 4-match run through the wrestlebacks.
