TEAM
- Chattanooga falls 35-20 at No. 8 Appalachian State...the Mocs are now 5-4 on the year and 3-4 in the SoCon...ASU improves to 7-2 overall and 6-0 in the SoCon.

- The Mocs allowed 21 points in the first quarter for the second time this season (vs. Furman on 9/12/09)...ties for the most points allowed in any quarter this season.

- After giving up 21 points in the first quarter, the Mocs defense held ASU scoreless for the next 39:01...it was the first time this season ASU did not score in the second quarter. 

- The Mocs converted two straight on-side kicks to start the second half...only got three points on the two extra possessions.

- ASU came into the game leading the nation with 513.0 yards of total offense per game.  UTC held the Mountaineers to just 322 yards on offense...It was ASU's lowest output against an FCS opponent this season. 

- The Mocs held ASU to just 140 yards in the air, their lowest total of the season... ASU came into the game averaging 289.0 yards through the air ranking 8th in the nation.

- Chattanooga won the time-of-possession 36:17 to 23:43.

- ASU has now won 18-striaght SoCon games...the longest streak in the league since 1959 and the fourth longest in SoCon history.     

INDIVIDUAL
Freshman RB Chris Awuah
- Had season-highs with 28 carries and 97 yards
- Most carries by a Moc this season

Senior DL Josh Beard
- Tied a career-high with eight tackles
- Did not record a sack for the first time in six games
- Came into the game leading the nation with 10.5 on the season

Sophomore DB Joel Bradford
- Recorded his second INT of the season

Senior PK Craig Camay
- Hit a pair of FGs in the game - 30, 36
- Now has 59 points on the year and 125 in his career...moved into 8th place on UTC's all-time scoring list
- 24-34 on FGs in his career...5th all-time at UTC
- 13-16 FGs in 2009...tied with Dennis Waters (1986) for fourth most in a season in UTC history

Sophomore QB B. J. Coleman
- 25-46 for 246 yards, three INTs and one TD
- Season highs for completions and attempts
- First game with multiple INTs this season
- Both of his picks hit his intended receivers in the hands and the rebound was grabbed by an ASU defender
- Had his second rushing TD of the season on a QB sneak in the second quarter
- Now has 1956 passing yards on the year...moves into 9th place on UTC's single-season list
- Seventh 200-yard passing game of the year...ties with Tim Couch (1984-86) for the sixth most all-time at UTC 
- 14 passing TDs on the year is 10th most in a season at UTC

Sophomore P Mike Hammons
- Career-long 67-yard punt in the first quarter
- Ties Greg Cater (vs. Marshall on 9/29/79) for the 12th longest punt in school history
- Also hit a 52-yarder in the second quarter
- Finished with six kicks for a 44.3 yard average

Senior WR Blue Cooper
- Eight catches for 90 yards and one TD
- 136 career receptions is seventh all-time at UTC

Junior WR Chris Pitchford
- 106 yards receiving on nine catches
- Career-high in receptions
- Second 100-yard game of the season

Junior DB Buster Skrine
- Career-high 10 tackles

Senior LB Joseph Thornton
- Eight tackles gives him 255 for his career
- Breaks into the top-10 all-time at UTC

Sophomore Jordan Tippit
- Picked off his league-leading fifth pass of the season
- Most INTs by a Moc in a season since Ron Faugue had six in 1996...ties for seventh most in a season in school history
- Came into the game leading the SoCon and No. 12 in the nation in INTs
