Tennis Falls 7-0 at Vanderbilt

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 match at Vanderbilt in the spring season-opener today.  The Mocs did not get a win against the 55th ranked Commodores. 

Chattanooga started five freshmen in its singles lineup.  Freshman Stephen Crofford had the best showing of the day, falling 7-5, 7-5 to Scott Lieberman at No. 6.  Freshmen Roberto Vieira and Jackson Tresnan pushed James Moye and Andy Pulido in a 9-8 (7-1) loss at No. 3 doubles. 

The Mocs are back in action on Saturday, Jan. 23, when they travel to No. 5 Tennessee.  Chattanooga's first home match of the Spring is set for Friday, Jan. 29, when they host Lipscomb at the Hixson Racquet Club.    a
