TEAM
- The Mocs scored a 35-27 win over No. 18 Georgia Southern tonight...it was the fourth win over the Eagles in the 24-game history of the series and the third win over the Eagles in the last five meetings.

- UTC improves to 4-2 on the year, posting four wins in its first six games for the second year in a row.   

- Sitting at 4-2 - 3-1 in SoCon action - the Mocs are knocking on the door of their first national ranking since 1997.  UTC was lasted ranked on Nov. 3, 1997, when they checked in at No. 23 in the Sports Network Top-25. 

- Chattanooga is now on a four-game winning streak for the first time since the 1997 season.  That is also the last time UTC won three-straight Southern Conference games.

- UTC records wins over Western Carolina, The Citadel and Georgia Southern in the same season for the first time in school history. 

- Tonight's attendance of 17,414 is the second largest crowd to see a Mocs game in Finley Stadium history.  The largest is the first game at the facility - 22,642 against Tennessee State on Oct. 18, 1997 - 28-7 Mocs win.  The Mocs are now averaging 14,397 fans per game in 2010 and 11,963 in eight games of the Russ Huesman era.  ASU game on Sept. 4, 2010 is now the third largest crowd at 15,235.

- Georgia Southern's Tobi Akinniranye scored on a 60-yard TD run in the second quarter...the longest rush UTC has allowed this season. 

- UTC had its longest drive (in terms of plays) of the season in the third quarter.  Junior QB B.J. Coleman scored on an 11-yard run in the third quarter, capping off a 17-play, 80-yard excursion.

- The Mocs also had the longest drive, in terms of yards, when Coleman hit sophomore Brian Sutherland for a 43-yard strike in the fourth quarter, capping a seven-play, 94-yard drive.  That put the Mocs up 35-20.

- Mocs improve to 29-16-1 on Homecoming all-time, including two-straight over ranked teams (38-9 over No. 17 Wofford on Sept. 26, 2009). 

- Georgia Southern put up 255 rushing yards, the most the Mocs have allowed this season.  However, GSU only gained 57 yards on the ground in the second half.    

- This is the Mocs' first win over a ranked team since defeating No. 17 Wofford on Homecoming last year 38-9.

- UTC trailed 17-7 in the second quarter, its largest deficit of the season.  The Mocs trailed at halftime - 20-14 - for the first time in 2010. 

INDIVIDUAL
Sophomore RB Chris Awuah
                - First TD reception of the season...2nd of his career.
                - 46-yard TD reception.

Junior QB B.J. Coleman
                - 11-21 passing for 159 yards and two TDs.
                - Ran for a third score...his fourth rushing TD of the season.  
                - Has 14 TDs against three INTs on the season...second straight game without throwing a pick. 

Junior LB Ryan Consiglio
                - Team-high 10 tackles.
                - Forced a fumble.

Junior DL Chris Donald
                - Seven tackles, one sack and a forced fumble.
                - Leads the team with 5.5 sacks on the year.
                - Third forced fumble on the season.

Sophomore RB J.J. Jackson
                - Three carries for 16 yards and one TD.
                - First career score.

Junior DB Chris Lewis-Harris
                - Recovered his second fumble of the season.

 Sophomore WR Brian Sutherland
                - Five catches for 80 yards and one TD.
                - Career-high for catches.
                - First career TD.

Junior DB Jordan Tippit 
                - Picked off his second pass of the season to seal the win.
                - His eighth career INT...tied for 8th all-time at UTC.

Freshman RB Keon Williams
                - Team-high 90 yards rushing on 16 carries.
                - Led the team in rushing for the second straight game. 
                - Two straight games without a negative run.
