- The Chattanooga Mocs fall in the Championship Game of the 2010 Dr Pepper Classic 81-76 to Georgia State...UTC drops to 7-7 on the year while the Panthers improve to 6-5.

- UTC missed its first 13 shots from 3-pt. range and was just 2-16 from behind the arc in the first half...It finished 8-34 making 8 of its final 21 (38.1%).
- The Mocs were 8-9 from inside the three-point line in the first 20 minutes.
- Georgia State was just 2-8 from the FT line in the last 1:13, including missing the front ends of two one-and-ones...Chattanooga could not capitalize as they were 0-7 from the field and 0-5 from 3-pt. range in the final minute.
- After an abysmal first half of shooting from 3-pt. range, UTC was 6-13 from behind the arc in the second period before the final, frantic minute of play.
- This is the second win for Georgia State in 25 tries against Chattanooga...however, it is the first meeting between the two teams since 1989.
- Georgia State shot a season-high 54.5% (30-55) from the field...it was the second-highest FG% the Mocs have allowed this season (56.0% vs. Jackson State on Nov. 24, 2010).
- Tonight's loss was the 100th home defeat for the Mocs since joining NCAA Division I in 1977-78...UTC is 399-100 (.7995) all time at home as a DI program...the Mocs are 632-382 (.623) since moving to Division I...339-89 (.792) in McKenzie Arena.
- Georgia State had 22 assists on their 30 field goals.
- Georgia State led by as many as 15 in the game - 39-24 2:33 1st - and were up 11 - 73-62 7:55 - in the second half... the Mocs cut the lead to three - 77-74 - on an Omar Wattad three-pointer with 2:04 left in the game, but could not pull closer.

Junior Keegan Bell
- 15 points on 6-15 shooting, 2-9 from 3-pt. range.
- Had six assists...all in the second half.
- Three turnovers...all in the first half.
- Fifth double-figure scoring game of the season.
Senior DeAntre Jefferson
- Career-high 19 points.
- Shot 5-5 from the field and 9-10 from the FT line.
- 17-19 from the FT line in the last three games...23-53 (43.4%) 10 games prior to that.
- Most FTs made and attempted in a game by a Moc this season.
- Added a team-high eight rebounds.
- Averaging 11 points and nine boards last four games...all off the bench.
Junior Ricky Taylor
- 16 points on 5-13 shooting, 2-8 from 3-pt. range and 4-8 from the FT line.
- Three-straight games in double figures...seventh overall.
Junior Omar Wattad
- Tied for team-high with 19 points.
- Shot 6-15 from the field, 4-11 from 3-pt. range and 3-4 from the FT line.
- 11 3-pt. FG attempts ties his team-high for the year he set at Tennessee in the season-opener.
- 11-22 (50.0%) from 3-pt. range in the last three games.
- Double-figure scoring in 10 of last 11 games...five-straight.
