Omar was a highly-sought wing out of Science Hill High
School in Johnson City where he was a two-time all-state selection and two-time region
most valuable player for Ken Cutlip...was the school's all-time leading scorer
with 2,191 points at the end of his prep career...played in the Tennessee
Athletic Coaches Association East-West All-Star Game...averaged 20.0 points, 4.5
rebounds and 3.4 assists as a junior in 2005-06...led the Hilltoppers' to the Big
9 Conference Championship...as named the Kingsport
Times-News' 2006 Northeast Player of the Year...played AAU for the Tennessee
Travelers...was ranked the No. 85 shooting guard in the 2007 class by Scouts,
