Mocs Set Single-Day Season Ticket Sales Record

| By:
With just over two weeks before kickoff, the build-up for the 2010 Chattanooga Mocs football season opener against Appalachian State continues to grow in the Scenic City.  UTC set a new single-day sales record with fans purchasing 102 season tickets as a part of the annual '30 minutes or Less' promotion today.

The Mocs have sold 2,305 season tickets to date and are just over 200 away from breaking the record of 2,527 sold in 2009.  Members of the Mocs athletics staff, including Head Coach Russ Huesman, delivered season tickets to fans in the UTC Campus, Downtown, North Shore and Southside areas.  Any order made in those areas not delivered in 30 minutes or less was free.  The Mocs are proud to announce that they made all of their deliveries on time.

"This is the third year in a row we did this promotion," stated Director of Athletics Rick Hart.  "We started by offering this just to campus, but to engage the community, we extended it to the downtown and surrounding areas last year.  The response has been tremendous and I want to thank the fans for their support."

Single-game tickets go on sale on Thursday, Aug. 19.  Fans can purchase tickets online on GoMocs.com or by calling the UTC Ticket Office at (423) 266-MOCS (6627).  Season tickets will be available until the first game on Sept. 4.  Due to high-demand, the Mocs Meal Deal will be extended until Thursday, Aug. 26.
