Brickyard Collegiate Championship - Oct. 7, 2011 - Macon, Ga.
First Round

  • Chattanooga played with Gonzaga and Colorado State...beat both schools by four shots each.
  • Front Nine (Counters by Round): +6 (+6/-/-)...Steven Fox was even on Holes 1-9 today with three of his five birdies on this side.
  • Back Nine: +2 (+2/-/-)...Stephan Jaeger was two-under par on the back side...Mocs started on 10 today.
  • Jaeger posted his 52nd career par or better round with his one-under par 71 Friday...it's his fifth of 2011-12 in 10 rounds...4th with four or more birdies...45th consecutive counting round dating back to opening round of 2010 SoCon Championship...just two par or better rounds behind former teammate Derek Rende (2007-10) who is No. 2 all-time at UTC with 54.
  • Fox's 73 included five birdies...most birdies in a round for him this season...he's had five total birdies in each of last two events...-3 for his career (108 holes) at the Brickyard with a top 10 (T8 - 2010) and a top 15 (T12 - 2009).
  • First career start for junior Alex Ratliff...three birdies, nine pars and six bogeys.
