- The Mocs improve to 14-10 overall and have the best record in the Southern Conference at 10-2 with a 75-66 win over Georgia Southern...the Eagles drop to 4-20 and 0-11 in the SoCon.
- Chattanooga is 10-2 in SoCon play for the first time since the 1994-85 season...
UTC is 7-0 at home in SoCon action...3-2 on the road. Chattanooga is 7-0 against North Division opponents, 3-2 vs. the South.
- Not a whole lot of defense played in the first half as the Mocs shot 65.2% (15-23) from the floor while GSU was 63.6% (14-22)...UTC had 14 assists on its 15 baskets.
- The Mocs tied their second best 3-pt. FG% for a game, shooting 63.2% (12-19)...they equaled the same numbers they shot at Georgia Southern on Feb. 7, 2000.
- The Mocs had 21 assists on 26 baskets tonight...it is the second straight game and the sixth time this season UTC has had 20+ assists...Chattanooga is 5-1 when logging 20+ assists.
- Georgia Southern shot 54.9% (28-51) from the floor tonight...UTC is now 2-5 when allowing opponents to shot over 50.0% from the field.
- Chattanooga made 11-17 FTs while Georgia Southern was just 2-4...the Mocs were 5-5 from the line in the last two minutes of action.
- The Mocs nearly lost a double-digit second half lead for the third straight game...UTC led by 18 at 52-34 with 15:31 left in the game...the Eagles went on a 21-5 run to cut the lead to two 57-55 at the 10:19 mark...that was as close as they would get as Chattanooga held on for its third straight win.
