Chattanooga Men's Golf Post-Round Notes

Second Round

• Chattanooga played with Clemson and Wake Forest for second straight day...once again tied the Tigers while beating the Demon Deacons by four shots.
• Today's one-under par 287 is the fourth best second round score by the Mocs in the Carpet Capital...it is the fourth consecutive par or better team round on the second day in the event.
• Sixth par or better round in 14 at the Carpet Capital for Chattanooga...62 of 72 counting holes today played at par or better including two eagles and eight birdies.
• Had just eight birdies Saturday after 17 in round one...52 pars today after 38 on day one.
• UTC is tied with Tennessee and Clemson...in last three Carpet Capitals, the Mocs won in 2008 with the Vols 2nd, UT won in 2009 with Chattanooga 2nd, while both schools tied for eighth last year.
• Front Nine (Counters by Round): E (E/E/-)...Benni Weilguni was -5 today and is -4 for the tourney on the front side.
• Back Nine: -2 (-1/-1/-)...Stephan Jaeger and Steven Fox were both -1 on the day...Jaeger is -3 on holes 10-18...UTC started the day on 10.
• After an up-and-down round yesterday, Weilguni tied his career-best round with a 67...virtually the same day as Friday minus a few bogeys...had an eagle and four birdies again, but cut his bogey total from six to one...13th career par or better round, fourth in the 60s.
• Jaeger's 72 (E) is his eighth par or better round in his fourth Carpet Capital (11)...-10 in his career there looking for his third top 5 in three tries...49th par or better round.
• Steven Fox bounced back from yesterday's 76 with a 73 (+1)...did so with an eagle, birdie and 12 pars...avoided big score on card with four bogeys instead of the four bogeys and a triple.
• Eagles (Counters by Rounds): 3 (1/2/-). Weilguni 2 (1/1/-), Fox 1 (0/1/-).
• Birdies (Counters by Rounds): 25 (17/8/-). Robb 8 (6/2/-), Jaeger 7 (5/2/-), Weilguni 8 (4/4/-), Fox 4 (3/1/-), Bunn 3 (2/1/-).
• Pars (Counters by Rounds): 90 (38/52/-). Bunn 28 (14/14/-), Jaeger 26 (12/14/-), Fox 22 (10/12/-), Weilguni 19 (7/12/-), Robb 15 (5/10/-).
