Chattanooga Men's Golf Post-Round Notes

Final Round

• Chattanooga played with Auburn and Tennessee in the final pairing Sunday...trailed Tigers and Vols by eight today.
• Dropped six shots on the final three holes on the counting cards which is the difference between finishing sixth at 864 (E) and fourth (858).
• 290 ties for second-best final round total behind level-par 288 in 2009 runner-up finish...shot 290 in 2008 win at Carpet Capital.
• The Mocs made a charge at the par 5 12th hole with three eagles and a birdie on the counting cards...UTC entered the hole +1 on the day and left at -6...played final six holes at eight over.
• Chattanooga posted 17 birdies in the first round but followed with just 17 combined in rounds two and three.
• Front Nine (Counters by Round): E (E/E/E)...Steven Fox was -2 on the opening nine Sunday...Benni Weilguni was -4 for the tourney on the front side.
• Back Nine: E (-1/-1/+2)...Weilguni was -1 today on back...Stephan Jaeger was -3 on holes 10-18 for the weekend.
• Weilguni set or tied several career bests for the weekend...2nd place is best finish in his second season with the Mocs bettering his fourth place at 2011 Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate...his -6 210 ties his for his low 54 holes as did his 139 (-5) through 36 and 67 (-5) for best round overall...the 67 is a new low for the second round...3 eagles is a new low as well...had five eagles total in 2010-11...played 43 of 54 holes par or better...three par or better rounds on season, 14 career...fourth top 10.
• Jaeger finished his Carpet Capital Collegiate career with eight par or better rounds in 12 starts...--7 in his four appearances at the Farm...career finishes: T4th (2008), T3rd (2009), T15th (2010) and T14th (2011).
• Fox matched Weilguni's 71 (-1) for low UTC round Sunday...had three birdies and 13 pars on his card.
• Eagles (Counters by Rounds): 6 (1/2/3). Weilguni 3 (1/1/1), Fox 1 (0/1/0), Jaeger 1 (0/0/1), Robb 1 (0/0/1).
• Birdies (Counters by Rounds): 34 (17/8/9). Weilguni 12 (4/4/4), Robb 9 (6/2/1), Jaeger 8 (5/2/1), Fox 7 (3/1/3), Bunn 5 (2/1/2).
• Pars (Counters by Rounds): 90 (38/52/-). Bunn 39 (14/14/11), Jaeger 36 (12/14/10), Fox 35 (10/12/13), Weilguni 28 (7/12/9), Robb 28 (5/10/13).
