TEAM
- Chattanooga is 59-44-1 (.576) all-time in season openers.  This is just the 10th time the Mocs have opened the year at an FBS school since the Divisions split in 1977.  The last time was at Oklahoma in 2008. 

- The following Mocs made their first career starts today, including FB - Taharin Tyson, C - Patrick Sutton, LG – Kevin Revis, LT – Taylor Dodds, TE - Faysal Shafaat, DT – Keyon Reed, DE – Davis Tull.

- The following true freshmen played for the Mocs today, FB Taharin Tyson, RB Marquis Green, WR Tommy Hudson, DL Josh Freeman, OL Brandon Morgan and OL Shaun Hill. 
- The Mocs allowed 260 yards of total offense in the first half…143 on third down…43 on fourth down. 

- UTC allowed Huskers QB Taylor Martinez to log 100 yards rushing () and passing ()…it is the first time since the Mocs have allowed one person 100 yards in both categories in a game since Appalachian State's Armanti Edwards (152 rush, 176 pass) on Nov. 8, 2008.

WR – Joel Bradford – SR – Preseason All-American
- Team high four catches for 47 yards.

- 19-33 for 1 TD and 1 INT.

LB – Ryan Consiglio – SR
- Game-high 14 tackles…10th career game with 10+ tackles
- Forced a fumble.
- Two TFLs
- One PBU

DL – Josh Freeman – FR
- Recovered a fumble in the fourth quarter.

P – Mike Hammons – SR
- Eight punts with a 44.2-yard average.
- Only had two 50+ yard punts last year…has two today. 
- Two pinned inside the 20. 

DB – D.J. Key – SO
- Second on team team with 11 tackles.
- Third career game with 10+ tackles.
- Recovered a fumble on punt. 
- 1 TFL
- 1 PBU

TE – Faysal Shafaat – FR
- First career reception for 11 yards in the first quarter. 
- Finished tied for team-high with four catches…34 receiving yards.

FB - Taharin Tyson - FR
- True freshman took the Mocs first carry of the game for four yards.
- Finished with four carries for 14 yards. 
- Mocs fullbacks had 13 carries all of last year. 

WR - Jeff Veres – JR
- First career catch…14 yards in the first quarter.
- Finished with two catches for 17 yards.
- Spent last season as the Mocs' kicker.
