TEAM
- Chattanooga lost 88-87 at Elon in Southern Conference North Division play...UTC is now 9-12, 3-5 in the division, while the Phoenix are 9-9, 4-3.

- 19th meeting between the two teams with the Mocs leading 10-9, 4-5 in Alumni Gym.

- Head Coach John Shulman is 130-118 in his eighth season...he is now 9-8 vs. Elon, 4-4 in Elon.

- 87 points by the Mocs is most against a SoCon opponent since 111 against UNCG at home on Jan. 27, 2011...most points in a road game since Dec. 13, 2008 at Davidson, a 100-95 loss.

- Chattanooga won the battle of the boards 42-36 powered by 11 by Z. Mason...8-4 when outrebounding the opponent...6th straight game winning on the glass.

- Allowed Elon to shoot 48.4 percent...3-8 when opponents shooting 40 percent or better.

- The Phoenix 50 points in the second half is the most in a half by an opponent this season.

- UTC bench out-scored Elon's 36-10 led by Mason's 18.

- There were six ties and 10 lead changes in the game.

INDIVIDUAL
Senior Ricky Taylor
- 17 points on 7-14 FG, 0-3 3pt and 3-4 FT...tied for 9th on the DI era scoring list with Eric Smith (1978-81) with 1,122...shot past Derrick Kirce (1990-91) and Tim Parker (2000-03).
- 18th career double figure scoring game, 63rd career. 

Sophomore Z. Mason
- Had double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds...2nd double-double on season.
- 4th double digit night...shot 6-13 FG, 6-6 FT in 25 minutes of playing time.

Senior Omar Wattad
- Season high 25 points on 8-19 shooting, 5-10 3 pt, 4-6 FT.
- 3rd 20+-point effort of the season, 10th career...14th game tallying 10 or more points in 2011-12, 35th in his two-year career.
- Tied for 7th all-time at UTC in 3pt made with Isaac Conner (1996-99).
