Golf Quotes
NCAA Bowling Green
Regional - May 18, 2012 - Bowling Green, Ky.
Second Round
HEAD COACH MARK
GUHNE
On Steven Fox's 64:
"Steven had one birdie yesterday and it was a chip in. He
didn't putt well at all. So he went to work and it paid off. He gets streaky.
He hit one early and kept it going from there."
On being in third
heading into final round in position to advance:
"I was really happy with what we did team-wise today. It
was a good effort on everybody's part. After yesterday I felt like we played so
good and we only had a one-shot cushion. You don't want that feeling after
playing some good golf. We have 12 shots now and that really helps when you tee
it up tomorrow."
JUNIOR STEVEN FOX
On his course
record 64:
"It was special with my family here today...my mom and day.
Yesterday I just couldn't get anything going, but today started out with
everything on. Every putt I looked over just went in. Setting the course record...I'm
ecstatic. It ties my low, but to do it here it feels like 59. This course is
unbelievably tough."
