Have you ever claimed to bleed Blue & Gold? If so, now is your chance to prove it at the annual Meet the Mocs presented by Blood Assurance. This will be your first chance to get an up-close look at the 2012 Chattanooga Mocs football team and donate blood on Saturday, August 18, in the First Tennessee Pavilion at Finley Stadium.
The Blood Drive runs from Noon to 5:00 p.m. (E.D.T.) in the Pavilion. Meet the Mocs officially begins at 1:00 p.m., also in the Pavilion, featuring an autograph and photo session with members of the UTC football, men's and women's basketball, soccer, volleyball and cross country teams.
Mocs fans who donate blood will receive a free "I Bleed Blue & Gold T-Shirt," a complimentary snack and a BOGO ticket offer for the Mocs football home opener against Glenville State on Thursday, September 13 at 7:00 p.m. The first 40 donors will also receive a free ticket to the UTC MOCS Club BBQ later in the evening.
The football team will take the field at Finley Stadium at 2:30 p.m., for an open practice. All fans are encouraged to watch the team prepare for the season opener at South Florida on September 1.
Following the practice, the UTC Mocs Club will host its annual BBQ dinner in the First Tennessee Pavilion. Advance tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children (10 and under). For more information or to RSVP for the BBQ, contact Director of the UTC Mocs Club Caleb Whitted at (423) 425-4773 or caleb-whitted@utc.edu. The UTC Mocs Club BBQ is open to all fans, but you must reserve a spot by Wednesday, Aug. 15.
