CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.---The Chattanooga Mocs got the men's golf season off to a good start. It is ranked in the top 50 nationally at this point in the year in both collegiate rankings for the first time since 2012.

“It was a solid start to the year,” coach Mark Guhne said. “I'm proud of the guys. I think we've established there are seven guys we can count on out of seven players available. That's a good sign.

“That's not to say we are satisfied,” he continued. “Far from it. You can see from the way our guys worked throughout the fall. They know the expectations are higher because it starts with them. We took a step in the right direction.

“There are more to take.”
