Plesky & Wingord Advance in GSU Singles and Doubles

Two Mocs are in the singles quarterfinals.
The Chattanooga Mocs men's tennis team was led by senior Nick Wingord and junior Lucas Plesky at the Georgia Southern Fall Invitational today. Wingord and Plesky both advanced in singles and doubles in the tournament in Statesboro, Ga.
Plesky, the No. 2 seed in the 32-person singles draw, went 2-0 to advance to the quarterfinals. He opened with a (6-3, 6-2) win over Savannah College of Art & Design's Kosta Sevic. He followed that with a (6-0, 6-4) victory against the Eagles' Evan Pelavin.
Wingord started his day with a (6-4, 6-0) win against Kennesaw State's Sam Slade. He then scored a (6-1,6-1) win against SCAD's Yulin Lui to also advance to the quarters.
Wingord and Plesky paired up for a doubles win in the afternoon. After a first round bye, they advanced with a (6-3) win over SCAD's McCoy and Liu.
