UTC goes 3-3 on day two of the rain-shortened tournament.

As rain continues to take its toll on events throughout the Southeast, the UTC Steve Baras Fall Classic was fortunate enough to have access to indoor facilities on Saturday. Although the tournament was cut short following the semifinals, each individual was able to get in one singles match at the Racquet Club of Chattanooga.

The Mocs scored wins in three of their six matches, led by junior Lucas Plesky. He defeated Middle Tennessee's Guillermo Artiz Mateo (6-4, 6-1) in the C bracket today. Senior Nick Wingord and junior Derrick Brown also had wins today.

Wingord battled in a tough one against MTSU's Robin Reithmueller (6-4, 7-6 (5)) in the D draw. Brown scored a (7-6 (2), 6-4) win over the Blue Raider's Michael Apple in the E bracket.

The Mocs are back on the court on Oct. 15-19 at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional in Knoxville, Tenn. Check back to GoMocs.com the week of the event for more details.
