#TBT Sorting Through Old Photos

The junk drawer.  You know exactly what I am talking about.  Every home and office has one.  Maybe it is in the kitchen.  Maybe it is in the garage.  At work, it is probably in the break room.  Regardless, it is the spot where everything goes that has not found its place …. yet.

Old keys to doors that don't exist, chargers to cell phones you have not used in years, dead batteries still in unopened packages are just a few examples of what you might find in the junk drawer.

Just like everyone else, the Athletics Communications Office at UTC has a junk drawer of its own.  This one is full of old, unidentified photos, negatives and slides.  It is a treasure trove of Mocs history, but unfortunately, we are not sure of the who and when in some of these portraits.

One of our goals over the summer is to finally organize this menagerie of memories of past Mocs.  As we identify groups of shots, we will post the best ones on GoMocs.com each Thursday on our facebook page www.facebook.com/chattanoogamocs.

Feel free to share them.  Tag yourself if you are one of the alumni in the photos or comment on the pic and let us know who it is.

Our first gallery is attached at the top of the page and features what we think is the women's basketball game against Auburn on Dec. 14, 1985.  This one was played in the Roundhouse with Auburn winning 92-53.

There are some good shots of UTC Athletics Hall of Famer Regina Kirk, along with legendary head coach Sharon Fanning in the background.  Other Mocs featured include Penny Cruse, Lori McCord, Kim Bush, Marcheta Winton and Kendra Bell.  If you were one of the 1,043 in attendance that night, you might see yourself in the crowd.

If you are former Moc and this gallery has brought you back to GoMocs.com for the first time in a while, don't forget to sign up for the C Club through the link at the top of the page.  The C Club is a letterman's group for all former student-athletes, managers, trainers and coaches.

Hopefully, we got all of the names right in these photos.  If not, let us know through the comment sections under each shot.
