Gosselin Posts Top 5 at Spirit of America Championship
Wes Gosselin continued his strong summer play with tying for fourth at the Spirit of America Championship on Burningtree Country Club in Decatur, Ala. Gosselin's 1-over par total of 214 was just two strokes behind a trio tying for first at 1 under.
Wes also tied for fourth at the SunTrust Tennessee State Open Championship. He tallied 7 under (209) at the Club at Fairvue Plantation in Gallatin, Tenn., in May.
Thomas Takes on Southern Am Field
Brooks Thomas' summer slate has been sensational as well with runner-up finishes at the Signal Mountain and North Georgia Invitationals. He is on the road this week playing in the 109th Southern Amateur. The prestigious event is July 15-18 at Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Miss.

Choo Choo Invitational Coming Up
The Chattanooga Choo Choo Invitational is July 26-29 at Council Fire Golf Club in the Scenic City. This is the third year for the invite and while the full list of entries has not been released, there are two Mocs among the exemptions for this year. Kory Webb (T6) and incoming freshman Lake Johnson (5th) return after top 10 finishes in 2014. The trio of Gosselin, Thomas and 2015 Southern Conference Freshman of the Year are likely entries as well after ending up tied for 17th (Gosselin/Thomas) and tied for 23rd (Weathers).
