Katie Emig improved her record in goal to 2-5 and has 30 saves and a 1.39 goals against average. UTC is 1-2 in overtime matches and have lost four of its matches by just one goal. Brewer and Hogan each have two goals and one assist for a team-best five points. Chattanooga has gotten goals from six different players and assists from seven.
Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles

The Golden Eagles are 2-4-2 on the year. After falling in each of its first three matches, including a double-overtime loss to Middle Tennessee, Tennessee Tech went unbeaten over the next four with two wins and two ties before falling 3-0 to Troy on Friday. The wins were a 2-1 defeat of Alabama and a 1-0 double-overtime victory against Radford, both home games. TTU drew with SoCon foe Mercer (0-0) and Georgia State (1-1). Taylor Blazei has a team-high three points with one goal and one assist. Zoie Hensley, also with a team-high three points, with three assists. Five other players have scored for the Golden Eagles. Kari Naerdemann has played all seven matches in the net with 42 saves and two shutouts and boasts a .76 goals against average.
Chattanooga vs. Tennessee Tech
The two teams have met 18 times with the Mocs holding a 12-6 advantage. The Golden Eagles have won two of the last three matches including a 2-1 victory last year at Finley Stadium. The Mocs won the four matches prior to that.
Mocs Nab Thrilling Double-Overtime Victory
Samantha Hogan scored the game-tying goal in the 83rd minute against UAB and then assisted on the game winner in the final second of double overtime for its second win of the year.
Latham Ranks Among SoCon's Top Current Players
Senior
Clare Latham has 12 career assists and that ranks her fourth in the Southern Conference among active players. She tallied a team-high seven last season.
Thomas Ranks in Two Categories for Active Players in the Southern Conference
Senior
Lauren Thomas missed all of last year and still ranks among the top players in the Southern Conference. She is third for saves with 153 and is tied for fifth for shutouts with three.
Emig Ranked in SoCon Standings
Junior
Katie Emig has a 0.94 goals against average for the Mocs through two games, giving up just one goal in each contest. She is sixth in GAA and saves percentage (.800) while ranking seventh for saves with eight and fifth for saves per game with 4.0.
Hogan In On All The Action
Junior
Samantha Hogan assisted on all four of Chattanooga's goals in the Mocs' 4-2 win over UAH in a friendly on Sunday, Aug. 16. She nearly had a goal of her own after getting past the UAH keeper, but the Charger defense was able to keep the ball out of the net.
