CHATTANOOGA vs. WESTERN CAROLINA
Western Carolina holds an 11-3-3 advantage over the Mocs and have won the last four with three being played in Chattanooga. The Mocs last win over the Cats was a 3-0 affair in 2011 on the road. UTC is 1-5-3 when playing WCU at home.
 
SCOUTING CHATTANOOGA | Head Coach Gavin McKinney, second season
The Mocs are 5-8-2 on the year and 3-2-1 in league play. They are tied with UNCG for fifth in the SoCon standings after a loss last week to Samford, ending a three-game win streak and then a draw with ETSU Friday night. The three league wins are the most for UTC since recording a 5-5 SoCon mark in 2005. Ten of UTC's 15 matches have been decided by one goal or less.
 
The Mocs have scored 22 goals on the year, averaging 1.47 per game. They have 87 shots on goal in 168 attempts for a .518 shots on goal average while posting a .131 shots percentage.
 
Peyton McCollum leads the Mocs with 13 points on four goals and five assists. Ellie Myrick has a team-best five goals to go along with four assists for 12 points and each has a game winner. Jordan Mueller recorded her first multi-goal game with both against ETSU. She is third on the team in scoring with eight points. Hannah Torbett has two goals, both game winners. McKenzie Gregg has a team-high five assists for the Mocs and one goal for seven points. She is tied with Torbett for fourth on the team in scoring. Melia Correa has 11 starts in the net with 53 saves (.726 saves percentage) and allowed 20 goals (1.75 GAA). She has a 2-7-2 overall record and one shutout. She has shared time in goal with Katie Emig who has a 3-1 record including two shutouts. She has a .750 saves percentage, making 12 stops and has a 1.00 GAA, allowing four goals.
 
SCOUTING WESTERN CAROLINA | Head Coach Chad Miller, seventh season
The Catamounts dropped to sixth in the SoCon standings after a 2-1 loss to Samford in Birmingham Friday night. WCU is 6-9 overall and 3-3 in league play. The Cats opened conference play with back-to-back road wins at Mercer and The Citadel before falling 3-2 at home against ETSU. After getting another tick in the win column, edging VMI 1-0, the Catamounts fell 1-0 to UNCG in their last week.
 
Western Carolina has been outscored 25-18 this season, averaging 1.20 goals per game and .122 shots percentage. It has 73 shots on goal in 147 attempts for a .497 percentage. More than half of the Cats' goals have come in the second have and just one in overtime.
 
Kasey Cooke leads the team in goals with four while Sayres McKenna has a team-best 12 points on three goals and a team-high six assists. Emily Threatt, Anna Marie Mellis, Anna Marie Mellis and Kyla Moncrief each have two goals while T. Hawkins-Dabney and Haven Leland have two assists apiece. In goal, Carly Tinstman has 67 saves and a .761 save percentage and allowed 21 goals for a 1.48 GAA. She has a 6-8-0 record and four shutouts.
 
 
CHATTANOOGA SENIORS
The Mocs will honor its five seniors before the match Sunday against Western Carolina. The game kicks off at 2 p.m. with Senior Day festivities taking place before introductions.
 
Micalah Crafton | Midfielder | Nashville, Tennessee
Micalah has played in 35 matches for UTC as a defender/midfielder and taken just one shot. In her sophomore year she was called into action as a goalkeeper in the Mocs' game against The Citadel. She logged just over 65 minutes and made three saves. Micalah earned the Southern Conference Commissioner's Medal for Academics. She was named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll as well as UTC's Dean's List and Athletics Director's Honor Roll.
 
Katie Emig | Goalkeeper | Knoxville, Tennessee
After transferring to Chattanooga last season, Katie made 11 starts in goal, logging more than 1,047 minutes. She had 55 saves for UTC for a .714 save percentage while recording a 1.89 goals against average. This season, Katie has four starts with a 3-1-0 record and two shutouts. She ranks sixth all-time at UTC for wins and fourth with a 1.66 goals against average. Micalah earned the Southern Conference Commissioner's Medal for Academics. She was named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll as well as UTC's Dean's List and Athletics Director's Honor Roll.
 
Samantha Hogan | Forward/Midfielder | Hendersonville, Tennessee
Sam has made 29 starts in 47 matches for UTC. She has two goals and three assists for the Mocs with seven points. Of her 20 shots, seven have been on goal for a .350 shots on goal percentage. Last season, Sam was involved in a thrilling double-overtime last-minute victory for the Mocs and her pass was knocked in for the game winner against UAB. She has earned spots on Chattanooga's Dean's List and Athletics Director's Honor Roll as well as the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.
 
Ashley Simmons | Defender | Hixson, Tennessee
Ashley has made 57 starts this season in 61 games as a defender. She has one goal and two assists while taking 17 shots with eight on goal over her career. She scored her goal in her freshman year against South Carolina State and last year, assisted on the Mocs' game winning goal against The Citadel. Ashley was named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll, the UTC Dean's List and the Athletics Director's Honor Roll.
 
Hannah Wyatt | Defender | Soddy Daisy, Tennessee
Hannah has made 42 starts in 50 games over the last four seasons. She made the move from forward to defender after two seasons. In the eighth game of her sophomore, she suffered a season-ending knee injury that kept her out the following season as well. At the time of her injury, she was second on the team in scoring with two goals and a team-high three assists. As a freshman she was second on the team in scoring, led UTC in assists and was fifth in the SoCon. Hannah earned a spot on the Athletics Director's Honor Roll and graduated in May with a BS in Marketing.
