CHAPEL HILL---It's a quick turnaround for the Chattanooga Mocs men's basketball squad. There's no time to celebrate the win at Tennessee with No. 6 North Carolina looming Sunday afternoon.
 
Both teams won their openers, both on the road Friday night. While the Mocs toppled sister school Tennessee 82-69, the Tar Heels defeated Tulane 95-75. They both featured outstanding individual performances along with team-wide contributions.
 
Justin Tuoyo had 22 points and 11 rebounds, while Tre' McLean also tallied a 20 & 10 night with 21 points and 10 boards. UNC's Justin Jackson (27) and Joel Berry II combined for 50 of the Heels 95 points. Kennedy Meeks dominated the glass with 15 as the visitors held a +14 margin on the boards.
 
This is the first meeting between the two schools since 1997. They've only met four times with the Tar Heels capturing each contest. It's the first ACC opponent since a 74-58 loss at Georgia Tech on Jan. 2, 2013.
 
Chattanooga was winless in 26 contests with high-major opponents from 1997-98 through 2014-15. Since, the program is 4-2 with wins at Georgia, Illinois, Dayton and Tennessee with losses to Iowa State and Indiana.
 
There is a watch party for Mocs fans at Pin Strikes in Chattanooga. Pin Strikes is on Perimeter Drive at the Lee Hwy exit off Hwy 153. Students bowl for free from 3-4 p.m., with the first 60 receiving free shoes.
