MOBILE, Ala.---The Chattanooga Mocs men's golf team is in second-place at the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate. The Mocs navigated Magnolia Grove Crossings Course for an 8-under 568.
 
The quintet opened at 285 over the first 18 holes and closed with a 283. They trail No. 4 Auburn by eight at -16. Georgia (574) is six behind UTC in third, while second-ranked Wake Forest (575) is another shot back in fourth.
 
All five Mocs are in the top 20. Andrew Weathers and Brooks Thomas shot 71 (-1) in both rounds and are tied for sixth at -2. Lake Johnson and Kory Webb are tied for 12th at -1, while Wes Gosselin turned in an even-par 144 to tie for 18th.
 
Auburn's Michael Johnson leads at -10. Peter Staalbo (South Alabama) is in second at -6, while J.J. Grey (Georgia State) and Matt Gilchrest (Auburn) are tied for third at -5.
 
Stuart Thomas is competing in the USA Individual on Magnolia Grove's Falls Course. He is tied for fifth at +2 shooting 71 (E) and 73 (+2).
 
The final round is a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The Mocs, paired with the Tigers and Panthers, open on holes 1-4. Scoring links are available above and fans can follow @GoMocsMGLF on Twitter.
