MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.---The Chattanooga Mocs men's golf team is 14th on day one of the General Hackler Championship. The Mocs turned in rounds of 301 and 297 for a 598 total ending the day two shots behind host Coastal Carolina and 16 clear of Winthrop.
 
Andrew Weathers and Kory Webb led UTC shooting 4-over 148. Weathers had the team's first round with a 1-under 71, while Webb and Wes Gosselin were low in the afternoon with 1-over 73s.
 
Gosselin is two behind the low duo at 150. Brooks Thomas is next at 154, with Lake Johnson close behind at 157.
 
No. 19 South Carolina is the leader at -16 with No 24 Virginia in second at -12, N.C. State is third at -8. The Cavaliers' Jim Stranger heads the medalist list at -8.
 
The Wolfpack, Charlotte and Iowa State have two holes remaining before the final 18 begins. The Mocs will be paired with Coastal Carolina and Winthrop. Scoring links are available above and fans can follow @GoMocsMGLF on Twitter.
