The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga wrestling team ended its run in consolation action at the NCAA Tournament today.  UTC lost its three backdraw matches to finish the 2016 season.
 
Junior Michael Pongracz dropped a 7-4 decision to Franklin & Marshall's Rick Durso at 141.  Junior Sean Mappes lost to Nebraska's Micah Barnes (MD, 11-3) and junior Scottie Boykin dropped a 7-5 decision to Rider's Ryan Wolfe.

Chattanooga ends the season with a 12-4 overall and a share of the Southern Conference regular season title with a 6-1 mark in league duals.  UTC loses one starter to graduation in senior John Lampe.
