GREENVILLE, S.C.---The Chattanooga Mocs men's golf team turned in a 3-over 291 in today's second round at the Furman Intercollegiate. That puts the Mocs in a tie for 10th with Virginia Tech at +5 overall.
 
Wes Gosselin and Andrew Weathers led the way today with 1-under par 71s. Gosselin is now tied for 15th at -3. It places him one shot out of the top 10 and three shy of the top 5. Ryan Cornfield (USC Upstate) leads at -10.
 
Weathers and Lake Johnson are tied for 35th at 145 (+1). Johnson carded 75 today. Kory Webb (74) and Brooks Thomas (75) rounded out the Mocs' 291. Stuart Thomas, playing as an individual, bounced back well from an opening 88 with a 1-over 73.
 
UTC got off to a good start making the turn at -2 after getting as low as -5 following Gosselin's birdie on the par 5 six. The Mocs shot -8 for the day on the par 5s, -7 on the two front nine long holes.
 
Georgia State surged into the lead on the heels of a 13-under 275. The Panthers are at -16, four ahead of first round leader Harvard at -12.
 
The final round is a 10 a.m., shotgun start with the Mocs joined by Temple and the Hokies. The trio's starting holes are seven, eight and nine. Live scoring and paring links are above, and fans can follow @GoMocsMGLF on Twitter.
