AIKEN, S.C.---The Chattanooga Mocs men's golf team is tied for sixth with former Southern Conference-rival Georgia Southern after 36 holes at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate. The Mocs shot rounds of 289 and 290 for their 579 total.
 
Wes Gosselin led the way with a 3-over 143. He opened with a level-par 70 and closed with 73 today. He's tied for 16th, three shots ahead of Andrew Weathers and Brooks Thomas at +6. Weathers struggled in the opening 18 with a 76, but fired 70 to lead the afternoon cards. Thomas had identical totals of 73.
 
Lake Johnson and Kory Webb are tied for 47th and 56th, respectively. Johnson is at +8 158, while Webb shot 159 (+9).
 
No. 22 South Carolina is the leader at -18. Virginia is second at -4, with Augusta in third at +12. The Gamecocks duo of Matthew NeSmith and Will Miles are tied for first shooting -6, 134.
