AIKEN, S.C.---The Chattanooga Mocs men's golf team shot the third-best round of the day to rise into a tie for fourth finish at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate. UTC's 2-over 282 gave the squad an 861 over 54 holes matching East Carolina's effort.
 
Wes Gosselin shared low round of the day honors with a career-low 66 (-4). He carded six birdies en route to finishing tied for sixth at -1. His 54-hole total of 209 is a career best as well.
 
Andrew Weathers was strong his final two rounds. His 70 (E) today tied him for 23rd at 216. Brooks Thomas and Lake Johnson both signed for 73 in their final round. Thomas (219) tied for 32nd, while Johnson (221) tied for 41st. Kory Webb rounded out the team scoring at 227.
 
No. 22 South Carolina was the runaway winner at -19. Virginia was second at -1. The Gamecocks' Matthew NeSmith won shooting -7, 203.
 
The Mocs' 282 is the lowest round of the season. The team is averaging 285.5 over two spring events, 292.85 for the season.
