The Chattanooga Mocs softball team hosts Lipscomb Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. (E.S.T.) in Frost Stadium. UTC is 12-9 and 6-5 at home.

Chattanooga is returning home from the Bulldog Slamboree in Starkville, Miss., over the weekend. The squad went 1-4 at the tournament, featuring a 3-2 win against Western Kentucky.
"We're still facing some injuries and trying to figure out where we want to go with our lineup," said Reed.
Senior center fielder
Sam Taylor leads the team with 17 runs after scoring three times last weekend.
Jordan Fortel, a freshman utility player, boasts a squad-best 26 hits, including five in Starkville, Miss. Senior
Criket Blanco, playing second base, hit her first home run of the season against Northwestern State Saturday.
Last season the Mocs beat the Bisons 7-4 on April 8 in Nashville, Tenn., to lead the series 5-3.
Lipscomb is 11-9 after a 2-2 finish at its home tournament, the Purple and Gold Challenge, last weekend. The squad lost to Youngstown State andÂ
Furman and beat Troy and Indiana State in a come-from-behind win.
Sophomore pitcher and infielder Caitlin Plocheck had four RBI's against Indiana State, which is her fifth game to drive in two or more runs. Freshman utility player Sarah Higgins leads the squad with a seven-game hitting streak.
The Bisons played in the 2016 Frost Classic presented by Ruby Falls, but they never faced the Mocs. Lipscomb went 4-1 at the event beating Northern Kentucky (10-1), Evansville (9-1), Eastern Illinois (4-1) and Miami-Ohio (8-6). The squad's only loss was to No. 18 Kentucky (4-0).
Chattanooga travels to Charleston, S.C., March 11-13 for the Holy City Showdown. UTC squares off with Michigan State, No. 10 Georgia, Columbia, College of Charleston and Charleston Southern.
