RALEIGH---The Chattanooga Mocs are in ninth-place after 36 holes at the Wolfpack Spring Open. The Mocs shot 294 in both rounds Saturday. The 588 total is one ahead of Richmond and two clear of Elon.

Wes Gosselin turned in twin cards of level-par 71. He is 12th at E, two strokes out of the top 10. The two par or better 18s today give him 20 for the season, two off the school-record 22 by Stephan Jaeger in 2011-12.

Andrew Weathers bounced back from an opening 76 with an afternoon 72. He was +6 through the first nine holes, but E over his last 27. He's tied for 37th (148) heading into Sunday's final round.

The trio of
Lake Johnson,
Kory Webb and
Brooks Thomas are tied for 60th at +10. Johnson and Webb had similar days starting with 74 and 73, respectively, before tough afternoons at 78 and 79. Thomas shot 79 on his first card ending with a 73. He was +8 through five holes (started on 12) before birdies on 17, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 cut his tally to +2.

N.C. State used its home course advantage to its max leading at -24. No. 16 South Florida is second at -15, with Virginia third at E. The Wolfpack's David Cooke is the individual leader with a 13-under total of 129.
