Mocs Open Spring Season at MTSU

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's tennis team heads to MTSU on Monday to open the 2017 spring season. The Mocs face the Blue Raiders at 2:00 p.m. (E.S.T.).
Head coach Carlos Garcia enters his 16th spring season with the Chattanooga men's program. UTC returns three starters and five letter winners, looking to improve on last year's 7-15 record. Seniors Derrick Brown, Lucas Plesky and Nic Wilson lead the way.
"We are very excited about the upcoming season and we are looking forward to the opportunity to compete in the opener on the road against a talented team from Middle Tennessee State University," stated Garcia.
"It is their home opener so the atmosphere at MTSU will be electric we are looking forward to a great match. Even though it is a quick turnaround since the team just returned from the Holiday break, we are eager to see where we stand at this point of the season. Playing a tough MTSU team on the road is a great way to start our spring campaign."
