The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's tennis team completed Day 1 at the Louisville Invite today.  Action continued well into the night, with the Mocs posting six singles and three doubles wins. 

Sophomore Niklas Gerdes defeated Belmont's Spencer Lang (6-3, 6-2) in the A Singles Flight.  Juniors Pablo Llebeili and Paul LaHue also won twice in the C Singles Bracket. 

Long and Llebeili are both in the Flight C singles quarterfinals.  Long beat Wright State's Varun Kalaiarasan (6-2, 6-0) and Eastern Kentucky's Josh Piunti (6-2, 6-3).  Llebeili scored wins over EKU's Colin Hart (7-6, 6-3) and Ball State's Tom Carney (6-2, 6-2).

The Mocs won three of four doubles matches, led by Gerdes and fellow sophomore Simon Bustamante in the A Flight.  They defeated Cleveland State's Nico Mostardi and Luke Phillips.  Long and freshman Jacob Marshall on in the B Flight, while Llebeili and freshman Luke Plaisted won in the C bracket.
