CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's soccer team will close out the regular season this weekend with a pair of home matches. The Mocs will host Furman Friday night and Wofford Sunday afternoon. On Sunday, UTC will honor its six seniors before the match.

The Mocs will be fighting for position in the upcoming Southern Conference Tournament. UTC is currently in seventh place, just three points out of third. Chattanooga's Friday opponent, Furman, is 7-0 against the conference. Wofford is one point behind the Mocs in the standings, tied for eighth.

Chattanooga will honor its six seniors Sunday just prior to its 2 p.m. kickoff at Finley Stadium. The seniors are

LAST TIME OUT
Chattanooga and Mercer battled to a double-overtime tie in Macon, Ga. As regulation came to a close, the Mocs defense held off the Bears who had a pair of corner kick opportunities in the final two minutes. Chattanooga blocked a shot to keep it scoreless. Keeper
Melia Correa made two strong saves in the last minute of the first overtime. Chattanooga had 12 shots on the day with three on goal.
Jordan Mueller and
Alex Scearce each had three shots for the Mocs and
Anna Moore added two. Correa had 10 saves in the match, two shy of her career-high and recorded her third shutout of the season. Mercer's Isabel Rothschadl led the Bears with a game-high six shots while Ally Fordham and Valeria Bermeo had four shots each.
ABOUT THE MOCS
Chattanooga is 4-8-4 on the year and 2-3-2 in SoCon action, earning five points in the last three games with a win and two ties. All three matches went into double overtime. The Mocs' win came behind a hat trick from freshman
Chloe Arnold who had all three goals in UTC's 3-2 double-overtime win at The Citadel. The Mocs earned ties against UNCG and at Mercer.
Arnold leads the Mocs with seven goals and 14 points and has two game winning goals. She ranks seventh in the SoCon for goals and 10th for points. Sophomore
Jordan Mueller is second on the team with four goals and 11 points and has a team-best three assists. Redshirt freshman
Catherine Meyer is third on the team in scoring with two goals, both game winners, and one assist for five points. Keeper Melia Corra has a 2-4-3 overall record and three shutouts. She has 66 saves this season for a .795 saves percentage and a 1.53 goals against average, allowing 17 goals in 997:08 in net.
ABOUT FURMAN
The Paladins are 11-2-1 overall and 7-0 in league play. They are tied with Samford for first in the SoCon standings and the two teams will face off in the regular season finale Sunday afternoon in Birmingham. Furman's two losses were both at home against Presbyterian (0-2) and UAB (2-3, 2OT). The Paladins are on a nine-game win streak that includes an overtime win at home against Western Carolina (2-1). Furman has 42 goals this season, allowing just eight to its opponents.
Molly Dwyer leads Furman with eight goals, seven assists and 23 points. She leads the SoCon with four game-winning goals. Rachel Shah has a SoCon-best eight assists and has two goals for 12 points. Treva Aycock is second on the team with eight goals, five assists and 21 points. Kellsey Weaver sports the top goals against average in the league at 0.65. She has allowed seven goals and made 30 saves for a .811 saves percentage. She is 8-1-1 on the year with three shutouts.
CHATTANOOGA vs. FURMAN
The Mocs have yet to be on the winning end of a match against the Paladins in 23 tries since the two began competition in 1996. At home, UTC is 0-10 against Furman and nearly came away with a victory in 2011. Furman tied the match, sending it into overtime and won 4-3.

MOCS GO THREE STRAIGHT DOUBLE-OT
The Mocs last three matches have all gone into double-overtime. Matches against UNCG and Mercer ended in scoreless draws while the Mocs match at The Citadel resulted in a 3-2 victory for Chattanooga.
ABOUT WOFFORD
The Terriers are 7-8-1 overall and 2-4-1 in league play, one point behind Chattanooga in the standings, tied for eighth. After posting back-to-back wins against South Carolina State (6-0) and ETSU (3-0), the Terriers fell 4-0 at Western Carolina in their last outing. They have 39 goals on the year and have allowed 33.
Hayley Younginer leads the Southern Conference in shots (70), points (46) and goals (21). She averages 1.31 goals per game. Second on the team in scoring is Katie Beuerlein with 19 points on seven goals and five assists. Wofford has four keepers on its roster with all seeing action this season. They have combined for 83 saves and a .716 saves percentage and a 2.0 goals against average.
CHATTANOOGA vs. WOFFORD
The Mocs and Terriers have competed against each other since 1997 with Wofford holding a 15-3-4 advantage in the series. After dropping its first seven matches to the Terriers, the Mocs went 2-1-2 over the next five years. Chattanooga tied Wofford in 2010 and again in 2015 and then last year earned a 2-1 victory on the road. At home UTC is 1-7-3 against the Terriers.

ARNOLD NAMED TSWA PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Chloe Arnold was named the women's soccer Player of the Week for the Tennessee Sports Writers Association for all matches played the week of Oct. 9-15. She recorded her first career hat trick to lead the Mocs to a 3-2 double overtime win over The Citadel on the road.

Chloe Arnold scored all three goals in the Mocs' double-overtime win over The Citadel. She scored her first two goals in the first 11 minutes of the match then netted her second game winner with 2:52 remaining in the second overtime. The last hat trick for the Mocs was in 2015 by
Peyton McCollum at ETSU.
