The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's tennis team continued action at the Georgia Southern Championships today. Sophomores
Simon Bustamante and
Niklas Gerdes both lost in the main draw quarterfinals, but UTC scored two other wins in consolation singles.
Freshman
Jacob Marshall scored both singles victories for UTC today. He beat Kennesaw State's Laurentiu Schinteie (6-2, 6-0) and the Owl's Austin Anderson (6-0, 6-3) to advance to the consolation finals.
Gerdes and Bustamante also lost in the semifinals of the doubles main draw, but UTC managed two more wins in the consos. Marshall teamed with freshman
Cooper Long for one win, while freshman
Luke Plaisted and junior
Pablo Llebeili had the other.
