Box Score The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's tennis team dropped a 4-3 match at The Citadel today.  The Mocs won the doubles point, but lost four of six in singles. 

"After winning the doubles point and Gerdes earning a straight set win with at #2, The Citadel was able to stay poised and chip away at our lead to earn a well-deserved win," stated UTC head coach Carlos Garcia.

The Bulldogs are a well-coached team and they play high percentage tennis, which proved to be the difference today."

Seniors Nic Wilson and Lucas Plesky won at No. 1 doubles.  Junior Austin Boaz and freshman Simon Bustamante clinched the point with a 6-3 win at No. 2. 

Freshman Niklas Gerdes won in straight sets at No. 2, but the other first matches went to three sets.  Freshman Max Grobbelaar scored the other points for the Mocs at No. 6. 

UTC dropped to 4-11 overall and 0-2 in SoCon action.  The next match is next Wednesday against Tennessee Wesleyan at the Champions Club in Chattanooga.
