ORLANDO, Fla. --- The Chattanooga Mocs softball team dropped two games on Saturday as part of the Citrus Classic in Orlando, Fla., an 8-0 loss to Boston College and 9-1 decision to Charlotte.
With the two losses, the Mocs fall to 6-12 on the season with one game remaining in Orlando tomorrow. UTC will face Notre Dame at 10 a.m. in the final game.

The Eagles raced out to a 4-0 lead over the Mocs in the top of the first as they recorded four hits in-a-row and six for the inning, pushing across four runs while leaving three on base.
They added a run in the second, two in the third and one in the fourth to amount to an 8-0 lead.
The Mocs would only register three hits in the loss, all singles, as two of them came from
J.J. Hamill and the third from
Emma Sturdivant. UTC also committed two errors on defense.
Payten Price (4-8) took the loss in the circle as she went 3.0 innings, allowed nine hits, seven runs (six earned) while striking out three.
Alex Connell faced eight batters in 2.0 innings of relief work and allowed two hits, an earned run while striking out one.

The Mocs got on the board first in the top of the third inning when they loaded the bases before an
Ashley Conner walk plated a run to give UTC a 1-0 lead. That would be the only run of the game for Chattanooga.
The 49ers responded in the bottom of the third inning with five runs on four hits and were helped by a Mocs fielding error. Charlotte scored three more runs in the fifth to take an 8-1 lead and scored the game-clinching run in the bottom of the sixth on an RBI double.
The Mocs would collect only five hits as five different players (
Amy Lewis, Hamill,
Aly Walker, Sturdivant and
Brook Womack) recorded a hit a piece. Conner walked twice and had the team's only RBI.
Payten Price (4-9) took the loss for Chattanooga as she went 5.0 innings, allowed 12 hits, nine runs (seven earned) while striking out four in 104 pitches.
