CHATTANOOGA --- The Chattanooga Mocs softball team gets set for a pair of midweek non-conference games by hosting Tennessee Tech on Wednesday before traveling to Lipscomb on Thursday.

Chattanooga and TTU will meet at Frost Stadium on Wednesday with a scheduled first pitch time of 6 p.m. The Mocs will head to Nashville on Thursday to face Lipscomb at 6 p.m. ET (5 p.m. CT first pitch in Nashville).

UTC is coming off a weekend that saw them collect 32 hits in three games including 17 hits in Saturday's game at ETSU, the most since 2013. Full game coverage and ticket information as well as opponent previews can be found below.

- Chattanooga smacked 17 hits in Saturday's 10-5 loss at ETSU ... most hits in a game for UTC since March 8, 2013 (vs. Toledo) ... now 13 games this season with double-digit hits.
- Hayleigh Weissenbach has set a new program record with eight outfield assists ... previous record was six (Ashlan Clarkson, 2008) ... she is also leading all freshmen in the Southern Conference with a .323 batting average and 42 hits on the year.
- Jesslyn Stockard is a perfect 238-for-238 in defensive chances this season ... mark leads all of the SoCon ... only one without an error with at least 155 chances or more ... for her career she holds a .976 fielding percentage in 1,011 chances (956-31-24).

Tennessee Tech is currently 14-25 overall and 7-5 in the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC). The Mocs and Golden Eagles met on Feb. 17 in the Chattanooga Challenge with TTU winning 7-6. TTU snapped a seven-game losing skid to UTC with that win. They are led by Aalia Bivens who is hitting .309 with seven homeruns and slugging .654. In the circle, Danielle Liberatore carries a 3.37 ERA with 133 strikeouts in 104.0 innings pitched while holding opponents to a .254 batting average.

Lipscomb is currently ranked 38 in the most recent NCAA RPI and is 10-9 this season against the top 100 (8-2 vs. 26-50). The Mocs won 6-5 a year ago and hold a 6-3 record against Lipscomb since 2001. The Lady Bisons are holding teams to a .220 batting average while striking out 332 batters and have a staff ERA of 2.10. Mandy Jordan has tossed 180.0 innings, 3rd most in the NCAA, while ranking 8th with 213 strikeouts and 29th with a 1.21 ERA. Caitlin Plocheck is hitting .347 with nine homeruns and 28 runs batted in while slugging .613.
