CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's soccer team will close out a month-long road swing Friday night at Samford in Southern Conference action.

The Mocs, 3-6-2, claimed a league win last Sunday against Western Carolina to move to 1-1 in SoCon play. Samford, the 2016 regular season champions, posted victories over both the Catamounts and East Tennessee State last weekend to improve to 6-5-1 overall and 2-0 against the conference.

ABOUT THE MOCS (3-6-2, 0-0 SoCon)
The Mocs snapped a three-game losing skid with a late game win at Western Carolina. UTC started the season with a win over Austin Peay. Before its next win - at Alabama A&M - the Mocs posted a pair of ties with three losses in a mix of home and away matches. Before its win at WCU, Chattanooga had three road losses including one at ETSU to open the SoCon slate.

Chattanooga has eight goals on the season on 101 shots for a 0.73 goals per game percentage. The Mocs have 47 shots on goal for a .465 shots on goal percentage and average 9.2 shots per game. UTC is 1-for-1 on penalty kicks while opponents have just one of 2. The Mocs have allowed 19 goals (1.73/game) on 187 shots.

Jordan Mueller leads the team with nine points, making three goals and assisting on three game winners.
Chloe Arnold scored the game winner against Western Carolina and is second on the team in scoring with three goals, including a PK.

Melia Correa has started seven games for Chattanooga. She has 46 saves in 670 minutes in goal for a .754 saves percentage. She has allowed 15 goals for a 2.01 goals against average.
Bailey Coppedge has started four matches and has two wins for the Mocs, both by shutout. She has a 1.00 GAA and a .765 saves percentage.

ABOUT THE BULLDOGS (6-5-1)
The Bulldogs started the season on a four-game losing streak against some pretty stout opponents. After falling 3-0 at Memphis, Samford was edged 2-1 at Alabama then lost 4-2 to Florida State and 3-2 to Michigan State. They snapped the skid with a 5-0 win over Alabama State but suffered a 1-0 setback at Kennesaw State. The Bulldogs earned a 1-1 tie against Georgia and have won their last five matches, all by shutout and all on the road. Samford started the SoCon season with wins over Western Carolina (1-0) and ETSU (2-0).

Jermaine seoposenwe is fourth in the SoCon in scoring with 16 points on seven goals and two assists. She has a team-high three game winners. Ella Baggett is second on the team in scoring with two goals and three assists for seven points while Karrie Sauder has a pair of goals and one assist.

The Bulldogs have used three keepers in the net. Anna Maddox has made 11 starts with a 6-4-1 record and five shutouts. She has 39 saves (.750 saves percentage) and 13 goals against for a 1.15 goals against average.

MOCS vs. BULLDOGS
Chattanooga has just one win over the Bulldogs in 12 tries. The two teams started competing in 1998 before Samford joined the Southern Conference. The first match was 3-2 overtime loss for the Mocs. However, UTC rebounded the next season for a 2-0 win. That would be the last time the Mocs came out on top. The two teams would meet just once more out of conference. The Bulldogs have won the last 10 and are 9-0 against Chattanooga in SoCon action. On the road, UTC is 0-5.
