Mocs Open Spring Season at MTSU

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's tennis team opens its spring season on the road at Middle Tennessee on Monday. First year head coach Chuck Merzbacher has five returners and three newcomers on the roster for the upcoming dual schedule.
This is the fifth year in a row the Mocs open against the Blue Raiders. Match time is set for 5:00 p.m. (E.S.T.) at the Adams Tennis Complex in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
"We are certainly the underdogs in this match vs. MTSU, however this team is ready for the challenge," stated Merzbacher. "I like the progress everyone has made this year. We are looking forward to this first team match to see where we are as a team. We can't wait!"
Michael Birnbaum is the lone senior on the roster. He is joined by juniors Paul LaHue and Pablo Llebeili and sophomores Niklas Gerdes and Simon Bustamante as the returners. Freshman Cooper Long, Jacob Marshall and Luke Plaisted make up the newcomers.
