Freshman Rheagan Hall and the Chattanooga Mocs are in Virginia this weekend for Old Dominion’s Princess Anne Invitational.

CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs women's golf team takes to the road this weekend for the Princess Anne Invitational. The three-day, 54-hole event commences Friday and ends Sunday at Princess Anne Country Club in Virginia Beach.

This is the third event of the young season. Young being the operative term with three freshmen in the lineup this weekend. Senior Monica San Juan and junior Maddy McDanel are joined by Esme Hamilton, Rheagan Hall and Dorota Zalewska. Sophomore Michaela Kulhankova is making her first collegiate appearance playing as an individual.

San Juan tied for 15th the last time out at Vanderbilt's Mason Rudolph Championships. The final round, which was 10 holes through for the Pamplona, Spain native, was washed out by rain. She had moved into the top 10 and the squad was on pace for its best 18 of the season.

They'll try to build on that this week. Twelve teams converge on Virginia Beach from north, south and west. Live scoring, pairings and notes are linked above.

3 NOTES TO KNOW

Maddy McDanel is coming off a career-best 36-hole score. She turned in back-to-back 73s for a 2-over 146 at the Mason Rudolph Championships. Previous best was 147 as a freshman at the 2017 Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Spring Classic.
Monica San Juan's 2-under 70 over the opening 18 at Vandy was the 16th par or better round of her career. She's seventh all-time at UTC breaking a tie with current Ladies European Tour pro Christine Wolf (2008-11).
Wolf is No. 15 on the LET Order of Merit. She is joined on that tour by Agathe Sauzon (2013-15). Jordan Britt (2011-14) and Emily McLennan (2013-16) played this year on the Symetra Tour, which is the LPGA's version of the PGA's Web.com Tour. Sauzon also competed in four event on the Symetra in July and August.
