- The Mocs posted a 79-48 win over Bryan College (Dayton, Tenn.) today … UTC improved to 6-8 overall while the Lions dropped to 6-8.
- This is the 13th meeting between the schools separated by less than 40 miles. It's an "old-school" matchup. All 12 prior battles came in the 1960s with the last coming in the 1968-69 campaign. Mocs lead the series 12-1.
- Chattanooga shot 57.7% (15-26) from the field and 58.3% (7-12) from three in the first half to take a 39-23 lead at the break.
- UTC kept Bryan from scoring a FG for the final 6:03 of the game.
- Mocs shot 11-23 from three (47.8%) … fifth time in last six games with 10+ threes … sixth of the year.
- Shot 32-62 (51.6%) from the field … second-highest percentage of the year … second game in a row over 50% … third time this season.
- Only nine turnovers in the game … third time this season with less than 10 … Bryan did not score on any of UTC's turnovers.
- 45 points allowed today are the fewest against the Mocs since March 1, 2014 when Appalachian State managed 44 in the final regular season game of 2013-14.
